Following news that Toaplan's Zero Wing is being ported to the Neo Geo, composer and developer Yuzo Koshiro has expressed interest in a similar Neo Geo conversion of Earthion. The 2D shooter, made by his studio Ancient with Mega Drive hardware in mind, launched on modern systems in 2025 and already has an enhanced version on the exA-Arcadia arcade platform.
