A new project called Amithlon NG has been released, building on the original Amithlon concept of booting a PC directly into Amiga emulation using a lightweight Linux installation. The project emulates a full Amiga 4000 system rather than earlier Amithlon targets. It gives AmigaOS access to the host PC's graphics, network and multimedia cards through an emulated Elbox Mediator 4000 MK2 PCI bridge board, allowing real PC hardware to be used from within the emulated Amiga environment.
