The team behind the DreamColor Plus aftermarket Dreamcast controller has updated its wireless receiver so it can connect the console to the internet over WiFi. No modem, serial adapter or hardware modification is required, though games will need to be modified to make use of the new connectivity. The controller was already notable for featuring a colour screen and a second analogue stick. The Dreamcast originally shipped with a built-in modem for online play, a feature unusual for consoles of its time.
