A newly released emulator for the ZX Spectrum 48K recreates 18 classic Nintendo Game & Watch LCD games. The project is written in Z80 assembly language, the native code of the Spectrum's processor, allowing the handheld titles to run on the vintage home computer. Alongside the Game & Watch ports, the package includes Munchy, an original maze game created for the release. The Game & Watch series was Nintendo's line of single-game LCD handhelds released from 1980 onward, and several of its characters and mechanics later influenced the company's console franchises.
