Whatever Happened to Amiga’s PowerOS Project?

Claus Herrmann has given an update on PowerOS, the 1999 project aiming to create a PowerPC-based AmigaOS clone with 68k emulation for A4000 and A1200 accelerator cards. The project was abandoned in 2000, briefly revisited for a PC port in 2005, and Herrmann now reveals its code found a new use in an ESP32-S3 microcontroller project for a photovoltaic/battery system. via amiga-news.de

Pistorm 3D MiniGL Library Released on Aminet for Amiga

Pistorm 3D, a crowdfunded version of the minigl.library for Pistorm32 hardware, has moved from backer-only access to a public release on Aminet. Unlike the traditional Warp3D-based approach, it accesses graphics hardware directly. Separately, a related minigl.library Classic variant supports Cybervision 64/3D and PCI cards via the QuarkTex Warp3D wrapper, with an updated QuarkTex NG also available. via amiga-news.de
