Protoweb Lets Old Browsers Revisit the 1995 Internet

Protoweb is a community-run proxy service that rebuilds and hosts historical websites to recreate the look and feel of the internet circa 1995. Users connect by pointing a proxy-capable browser at Protoweb's servers, giving old computers access to period weather, news, music and game sites without needing registration. The service is in public beta with its library of restored sites growing daily. via protoweb.org

Amiga Corporation showed a beta version of RenaissanceRTG, its new Retargetable Graphics driver system, at the Saku 2026 event in Finland, installed as part of Amiga Forever. The driver is planned for official release this year alongside the THEA1200, and is intended to remove the need for third-party licenses and drivers as Amiga takes over AmigaOS 3.x development from Hyperion. via amiga-news.de
