RadeonGL Brings ATI Radeon 3D Support to Amiga Picasso96

A new minigl.library called RadeonGL has been released, enabling 3D acceleration on ATI Radeon R200-family cards (8500, 9000, 9100, 9200, 9250) for the Amiga. Unlike earlier approaches, it does not require Warp3D, instead controlling the Radeon's command processor directly while working alongside Picasso96. The library only accesses the card during bitmap locks, so Workbench keeps running normally. It is compatible with minigl.library 29.1, meaning existing MiniGL SDK programs can use it without changes, and GLQuake has reportedly reached up to 24.9 fps at 320x240 on an A4000D with a 68060/50 MHz CyberStorm MK II, Mediator board and Radeon 9200 under AmigaOS 3. via amiga-news.de

ProTracker 4.1 Released With Eight-Channel Support

A new version of the classic Amiga music tracker ProTracker has been released, numbered 4.1. It builds on ProTracker 4.0 Beta 2, which was created by Tom Beyer, Oliver Ickler and Haavard Pedersen in 1997 and had remained the last official release, with some documented features left unfinished. Version 4.1 keeps the original interface and adds eight-channel support, letting users load, play and save modules in the 8CHN, OCTA, CD81 and FLT8 formats, with VU meters and the analyzer now showing all eight tracks. The extra channels are mixed with good sound quality on faster Amigas, whilst an A500 with Fast-RAM is mentioned as a baseline configuration. ProTracker has long been a standard tool for composing music on the Amiga. via amiga-news.de

90 ZX Spectrum Games Get Colour Clash Fix on Spectrum Next

A project has adapted 90 classic ZX Spectrum games to run without colour clash on the ZX Spectrum Next. Colour clash was a long-standing limitation of the original Spectrum's graphics hardware, where only two colours could be shown within each 8x8 pixel attribute block, causing visual bleeding around sprites and backgrounds. The Next's enhanced hardware allows these games to be presented with that restriction removed while keeping the original gameplay intact. via reddit.com/r/thisweekinretro

Paprium, developed by Watermelon, originally shipped with a bespoke cartridge featuring extra RAM and a battery-backed save system, which made it difficult to run on standard setups. The patch opens the game up to a far wider range of Mega Drive hardware and emulation tools. via console-classics.com

Fan Builds Modified AppImage of Pokémon FullDex Tool

A fan has released a modified version of Pokémon FullDex, a tool used to manage and launch Pokémon ROM hacks, packaged as a Linux AppImage. The main change addresses a flaw in the original tool where multiple ROM hacks shared a single save file, by giving each hack its own separate save file. The same separation has been applied to cheat files and box art images. The modified version also lets users rename each game entry directly within FullDex, so individual ROM hacks can display their own titles instead of the underlying base game's name. via reddit.com/r/PokemonROMhacks
